Double-stack 1911 ("2011") weight distribution?

Hey guys - a quick question for those of you who own double-stack .45 1911's (I guess the people that don't want to call them 1911's are calling them 2011's)

Do you find that when you've got that many .45's in your magazine, there is an issue with the difference in balance with a full mag vs. the last two or three shots? I've been looking at these, but haven't had any shooting/range time with them.

2011 is a designation specific to STI double stack modular handguns. I haven't shot one, but did use a .40 extensively in IPSC competition for about 10 years. When the adrenaline flows in competition, I never noticed a balance shift or at least never thought it was a big deal.

I've got STI 2011s in .45, .40, and 9mm. I really haven't noticed a balance issue, but it hasn't been something I have thought about. Ditto Coyote3855 comments. In a match I don't consciously feel the weight or balance. They shoot wonderfully and reliably. I know you mentioned the .45 specifically and I don't know your intended use, but the 9mm is effortless to shoot. I have the Edge in 9mm and shoot it in matches. Fast, smooth, and recoil that is almost unnoticeable which makes for much quicker follow-up shots than either my .45 Eagle or .40 Tactical.

Thanks for the input guys - ironically, now that I do a little more research (para's website is down until March) the ones I specifically had in mind aren't called 2011's at all - they're the Para-Ordinance P14 models (14-45, because they hold 14 rounds of .45ACP)

Anyone own one of these? Care to share your experience?

I have 2 (Wilson KZ45 & Para P13) and no, I do not notice any weight difference when shooting.
