Folks I am truly one of the most blessed people in the state of MD today. I mean, who else has a wife who listens to their whining about wanting a Remmy 870 and then goes on her own to pick out a beautiful 870 Express Magnum?

Furthermore, who has a brother, AKA Spot77 here on THR, who without any prompting goes out and gets them a Mossberg 500.....?

So who gets both on the same day!!!???

Yup....it's ME:neener:

I had twins today.....though I guess they are fraternal twins since one is Remington and one is a Mossberg.

Yes, I am truly blessed with a loving wife and wonderful brother:)

Weather permitting we're going to give them a shakedown cruise on Monday.....

Truly wonderful gifts to receive ..... and made all the better by - as you so rightly say - being blessed by such fine people.

You Sir are lucky .... but the great thing is you know that!!:)

I hope you manage to get to the ''excercize yard'' Monday .... and do what has to be done!!:D

P95,

Thanks.....the best part is that my wife relayed to me that while picking out the 870 all of the guys at the shop were saying, "Gee I wish my wife was as cool as you"

Norton ... I guess it is not that common for the guys to observe such a ''phenomenon''!!:p

My wife makes me equally blessed .. except she does not do the actual ''shopping'' for me like yours but .... she is right behind all my (numerous and excessive) purchases. Oh and .... add ammo to that too!

We are lucky guys .. but as I said you know it - and so do I!:)

Enjoy.

P95,

She likes to shoot as much as I do....truth be known, she may be able to out shoot me with a handgun slow-fire. She's a United States Government Certified Pistol Expert.......:D

Black majic....I'll have to work on the pics.....had to pass on the the digital camera this year.....we put new windows in the house last week.

Amazing what we look forward to when we're homeowners......

Hey now guys, let's not forget that brother Spot77 hooked me up with that beeeeaaaauuutiful Mossberg 500......I figure that one way or another, no matter which shotgun I decide to use on any given day, I always have another for a fellow shooter to partake of as well!

:D

Now THAT I cannot compete with - Kudos Sir! I must remain content that the odd occasions when I can get my wife to the range .. she never fails to amaze me with how well she shoots (my daughter the same) ....... I shall be content with that and proud too.

My son?? Well ... he's ''my boy'' so no comments needed there!

Oh and add to that ....... maybe I won't suffer any ignominy re being outshot by spouse!!!:p :D :D

Regards

Well, the good thing is that she hates shooting the SKS so I doubt she'll ever get me there:p

We'll see how things go when I get her to the trap range shooting the pump guns....she'll try it but whether she likes it remains to be seen.

If she doesn't like trap, I'll get her the SIG P239 she's been lusting for and then Spot77 and I can go to the rifle and trap ranges as much as we want:evil:

New shotguns in Maryland? See if that McCracken fella we can't shake ;) :D is free to bruise a shoulder or two and HAVE FUN!!!!! A two gun Christmas is a Christmas to remember for sure!!!!! Good luck with the new shotguns and best wishes for the new year to EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

HSMITH,

If Dave hadn't taken me out a couple of weeks ago and gotten me through my first two rounds of trap I wouldn't even have expressed any interest in the shotguns.....so it just goes to show you that when we help one another out, good things happen!

Norton, you just made my morning, thanks...

Doubly Blessed, indeed.

A coupla things..

Of course, you're going to shoot both of those fine shotguns. But, you're still in the steepest part of the learning curve.I suggest you pick one and concentrate on shooting it well. Then try out the other and see which one works best for you.

I'm working Monday, but Sunday morn I plan on being at PGC. Feel free to join me...

Dave,

Glad I could be a ray of sunshine!

We're off to Virginia for a couple of days....Monday's the earliest that I can get out:(

On the bright side, I may be doing some pistol and rifle shooting while I'm down there....

You're right about sticking with one....I'll just have to see which works best for me...
