Where is a good place to hunt doves in the white mountains? Pinetop/Lakeside.
ya we have a lot of them lol. they really need a season.New york, the land of juicy doves that no one is allowed to eat.
I was thinking the White Mountains East of Bishop Ca. I haven’t seen too many doves there.
the East side I’ve taken the canyon down from where Silver Canyon Road meets White Mountain Peak Road that follows the little stream down past the sheep camp into Nevada (towards the area you’re talking about).
Hello: I also would like to know where to Dove Hunt in the White Mountains in Arizona..and and that is in the Showlow, Taylor, Snowflake, Pinetop/Lakeside towns of Arizona....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ThanksWhere is a good place to hunt doves in the white mountains? Pinetop/Lakeside.
NY considers then a songbird, not a gamebird, which is why you have no season
Up Silver, down Wyman Canyon. All good chukar hunting. Did you find the ruins of White Mnt City and the petroglyphs at the bottom of Wyman canyon?
For a little more excitement follow the power line maintainance road up Silver instead of the tourist road.
There is also a route(*) from Crooked Creek past the cow camp and down the east side, (probably no longer legal)
The White Mountains of California (14,252 ft) dwarf the rest, the highest peak in Nevada (Boundary) is a bump on a ridge of a higher peak (Montgomery) in California.
I also really like the southern extension of the Whites, the Inyo Range... both west and east sides. Good deer hunting! All that area is wonderful, Saline, Euerka, Panamint valleys... ect. When there is too much snow in the Sierra, you just go east.
I lived in Mammoth and Swall Meadows (down the old road from Toms Place) for 23 years, I consider it "home".
Is the research station still at the top? Beautiful view from the top and accessable without 4 wheel drive

The AZ White mountains! The area north of Showlow might produce Doves that like high desert browse!
If you're a trout fisher there are Apache Trout in the Salt River near Horse Shoe Lake. The availability of family fishing on the Apache Reservation used to be great!
