dovetail front sight installation

I recently changed the front dovetail sight on my Ruger 10/22. It required some filing (of the sight) to get it to fit. After shooting about 50 rounds the sight fell off. Oops, I guess I filed off too much.

So what do I do now? Loc-tite (which color?)?

Peen it slightly with a center punch, raise the metal around the punchmarks to make it tight.

You might want to try Locktite Black Max. If your Ruger is blued it should blend in. Brownells has it.
