DPH Arms Saiga Muzzle Brake

Hello all, bought the DPH Arms Saiga Muzzle brake, it uses a clip that goes over the barrel and then the brake screws onto that. Anyways, the damn thing came with no instructions, and I can't get the thing to screw on more than 80% of the way until it locks up rock solid and won't turn anymore. Anyone manage to get this thing on?
