I have a chance to get the ap4 for 1100.00 used excellent condition. Question is.........is that a reasonable price and is this a quality .308.

A little while ago they were going for 1200 new, but you may be able to find one a little cheaper (900-1000) on sale somewhere. If it were me I would look around a little.

Aye see them for 1100 to 1200 at Houston Gun show's all the time. DMPS is not the best, however it isn't the worst and I never felt shafted with the rifles I possessed bearing their mark.

You can get DPMS slick side 308s for 8-900 dollars. For 1100 I would get an Armalite over DPMS.

Ya'll are right I went on gunbroker and gunsamerica and the same gun new i found it from 1000.00 to 1050.00 new, unfortunately that's my price range.

308 DPMS rifles get good reviews for accuracy. Also there is a Pmag for it. Check out Rguns.com for prices. I have heard very good reviews for them. Ask someone who has them. Also a number of 308 AR type rifles have adapted the same mag pattern.

I would look for one that had FA and side cover. Mostly because it looks normal.

I have an Armalite but just because I got a god deal on it. ($1100 new).

Get the best price, and the model you like then make the purchase!

+1 for RGuns.net. That's where I got my DPMS 308 for 270 under MSRP. Place your order with them wait and don't bother them and your rifle will arrive in a week to 10 days.

They don't give you a tracking number so don't ask. I heard they can be rude if you call them alot.

I don't know though I never had to call them, my FFL was already on file because he buys from them all the time.

I agree with the posts above. That is a little much for it unless it has other stuff. I paid more than that for mine, but it had a scope, riser block, quad rail, bi-pod, and a pile of factory 19 round magazines.

You won't regret owning an AP4 if you like the AR platform.
