DPMS panther lo-pro classic

One of my local shops has one of these AR's in stock, and I liked the look/feel of it today, wondering if anybody has any experience with this rifle?

I want a rifle that will be accurate and enjoyable to shoot for range, plinking, and gopher elimination work.

they also had a basic bushmaster m4 with collapsible stock for $699, would this be a better rifle for a first AR?

I'll be using optics of some sort either way i go, so the DPMS not having sights isn't an issue.

Choose what you want/need. Be happy. Either of your choices would be a nice rifle.

I've got a DPMS upper with 16" bull barrel and have been reasonably happy with. No real problems at all, maybe not quite the one hole gun I hoped for with factory ammo.

I'm leaning toward the DPMS, fro what I want right now I think it fits the bill fairly well.

If I like the AR platform then ill start looking at a standard setup m4
