I own a Virginian Dragoon in 44 Magnum 7 1/2 barrel.

The only problem I have with this revolver is the hammer bits the web of your hand when cocked.

Does anyone know if I can get a different hammer or do I need to modify the onr I have.:(

Also I am looking fo a new set of grips to soften the recoil.

Thanks in advance.

You'd have to modify the hammer you have.
Assuming it's the actual hammer spur that's biting you, shortening and rounding off the spur may be enough.

For grips, there isn't going to be much available unless the grip frame is very similar to a different brand, like a Ruger as example.
I'd recommend contacting Hogue and ask them if they have something that will fit.

Thanks, thouhgt I would have to modify the one I have.

The spear just bits the web of my hand when cocked.

Tryed to find grips new but no luck, found a used set on E-Bay and trying to buy.

Thanks,
