The obsolete caliber thread in General Discussions got me thinking. A lot of calibers mentioned were not necessarily obsolete because of something better coming along, but rather because they weren't as popular as everyone hoped they would be.
My question is this: If you could have only 10 different calibers, what would they be? Availability is a moot point here; I've always wanted an AK chambered in a non-corrosive 7.62x45, the old Czech round. A bolt-action .408 CheyTac. A PPsh in .22 WMR. A No.4 Mk.1 in .30 Krag. A GyroJet multi-barreled cannon. A 1911 chambered in .45ACP necked down to .30. An LRN .308. A Spitzer FMJ 9x21mm +P+.
Any caliber. Any purpose. It doesn't have to even exist already. What would you like to have back, and what do you wish already existed?
