Dressing up the AR-15

As a rule I am not in love with stuff like that, but I have to admit that if they made R2-D2 or Darth Vader mag wraps I would squeal the whole time I was ordering them.

There is a business opportunity for someone.

Wonder if they have those themes in a full gun hydro wrap.

I don't understand any of this but I also don't understand the mentality of tattoos either. I bought a new Windom Weaponry HBC carbine this weekend and I will spend the money you spent on vinyl on ammo or extra magazines, at least they have a practical value.....

I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the way some stuff like that looks. I just wouldn't want to see the plaintiffs lawyer in a civil suit holding up my Punisher themed items in court should I have to use my weapons to defend myself.

I already have 20 P-Mag's and 5000 rounds of 5.56 ammo, so I decided to do something fun.:neener:

I showed my co-workers, who are gun people, what I was doing and they thought it was really cool.

I am with you CS77. Run with it, you can always revert back if you don't like it.

Pretty women/guns can do the same things as the ugly ones, for me I find it more fun to date/shoot those near the top of my scale than those that are not.

whatever floats your boat- just like with cars, motorcycles, etc, and other things enthusiasts do to customize the things they're into

i like the plain 'ol 20rd mil spec straight mags

nuttin fancy

works every time

i don't tend to look at the mag when i'm shooting any rifle, and when i'm not shooting a rifle it's usually stored away

my style of showing off these days is how little crabgrass i have in the frontyard...

Ahem...as I said, not a single blade of crabgrass.

Eat your heart out GunSkins.

A few of my AR types which are a reflection of my guns overall, plain and simple.

I just gravitate to the older plain and simple. My trucks for the most part are plain and simple. I guess guns in general are an extension of our own personal taste. Some like to dress them up and in the case of AR types hang everything imaginable on them. While I agree in some cases the purpose of the rifle determines what we hang on it but I have yet to need a grenade launcher at home. :)

More of plain and simple:

Have another SP-1 as my brother needed money. :)

I think they look kinda cool personally.

Some of the posters on this thread would be absolutely appalled at the red/black futuristic 'Battle Torn' apocalyptic AR I'm having done with a Seekins Precision upper and lower, Geissele rail, 60* short throw safety, 18" 1:8 barrel, Trijicon 1-4 scope...yada yada.

Unless the weapon actually belongs to the government or a department do what you want with it.

It's your gun right? Therefore the only person who need be pleased with the motif would be you. That's how it works. Sometimes I see a rifle and think to myself if my dog's face was as ugly as that rifle I would shave his butt and walk him backwards. However, as long as the rifle is visually pleasing and functional to the owner that is all that matters.
