I've been looking for a drop leg holster for my XD45 Compact that has a flap over the weapon but have not found anything. Does anybody know of one or have a better idea for my situation? When it's really hot in the Summer and I'm mowing lawn or brush, running my trackloader, backhoe, forklift, etc. I like to wear coveralls or a flight suit (with little underneath) to keep the sun off. The only way I can currently carry the XD while wearing coveralls or similar is in a back pocket. That doesn't work sitting on a tractor so I was thinking a drop leg holster might do the trick. The problem is that I am hard on stuff and know the gun will get the crap beat out of it in an open thigh holster. I also know how much dirt and sand it will eat and really don't want to clean it every day. I thought about screwing a Kydex holster to each piece of machinery but I much prefer to keep the weapon on my person at all times. FWIW: Open carry is legal here and you can't see any of our acreage from the road or neighboring properties. Ideas?

You get 2 to tear up, for cheap. Not a leg holster, And not made for the gun. But will hold a glock 26 nice and tight, and CZ75, even a ruger Mark III.

Cover almost all of the handle on the 26, and has about 2" extra length past the barrel. The snap is sturdy, but I would sew some velcro on this inside if I was going to wear it in brush, for extra security.

Might not be exactly what you want, but may work nicely. For cheap. (more money for ammo)

MrCleanOK: Thank you for the Blackhawk! link. I'd been to their site but don't know how I missed the Specail Ops:

Looks like almost exactly what I'm looking for!
