In keeping with the discussion of Hornady LnL progressive presses I need to report another minor glitch with mine. For some unknown reason my powder drop unit was binding at the top of the cycle. This would charge a case, but if undetected would result in the next round being a squib. I went through the adjustments and tried cleaning and dry lubing with Rem dry lube, still had problems.
I had bought some WS2, a lubricating powder used by some to coat bullets in place of molly. Brushed some of that onto the housing and the stem of the lower unit. No more binding for about 2,000 rounds. Will keep tabs on that and report back.
Also had the decapping pin in my .204 Ruger full size die break off. Lost the pin holder somehow on the bench. Called Hornady. Parts sent free under their lifetime no hassle warranty.
