Hello
i have quite a few cap and Ball Revolvers.
And there is one that is still loaded which is the 1862 Police Pocket.
My Question is (Carefully removing a Nipple) how can i tell if the powder is Still dry as it has been compressed by the Ball.
And if i am able to pour the powder out of that chamber and the Powder is dry
is it ok to put that powder back in and then the Nipple again?
i have never tried this as i just soaked it in water and removed the powder
Prior to putting some WD40 into the chamber to kill the Powder.
Then punched out the balls with a wooden Dowel.
Thank You in advance
