dumb Iwb holster ?

I thought your belt was supposed to go thru metal clip on a iwb holster. Is the clip supposed to clip on pants with belt on outside ? When I do this way everything is secure but there's no way my belt will go between holster and clip without stretching it way out possibly bending the clip. My belt is not that thick (aker b 21). My first clip holster and just thought belt went between holster and clip.

Yes, the metal clip is made to go over the belt, that's why there is that bump at the far end, to secure over the bottom of the belt. It won't break/bend, it's spring steel - if it does break or bend going over a belt, it's garbage and needs to be returned.

Some belt clips are designed to Velcro to the back of the belt, but most are designed to clip over pants and belt.

Pictures or a link would be helpful in determining what you have there.

Its a don hume h715 m w c. the hume website describes it as a waistband clip on which I guess means it clips on to your waistband "duh ya think" I took clip out and belt has to be forced thru and open end sticks way out. The curve is very narrow,not near as wide as a uncle mikes that my belt goes thru fine. I can put it on with jeans and it's secure add a belt around it and pushing against my side its not going anywhere. My wife is out of town for a week she the picture guru. I tried bending clip, no good the curve is just too small and the open end sticks out too far so I'm thinking its "waistband" clip. whatta ya think ? I'm ok the operation of it just didn't know about it I can't get don hume site to link

Have you contacted the maker or seller with your concerns? Perhaps you have a defective or damaged belt clip.

yes emailed don hume tonite asking about this. I think the clip is just wrong and asked about replacement my expense or theirs. I mean how bad could it be on a $30 holster? Lets see what the resonse time is .

It's a Don Hume what do you expect. Look into a Crossbreed super tuck they are far more
durable and comfortable and backed by a great warranty

Sorry I'm a leather guy and have other holsters kramer, desantis, etc and by the way they are sending me a new clip

Received new clip today 2 days after phone call. Tha lady was very pleasant ask a few ? to better understand my problem. I think thats pretty good customer service. New clip works better I can get my belt thru it, but shouldn't the bottom of the clip touch at the the bottom of holster ? I'm not going to worry about it from this point I can use one on my pants and one on my belt. I agree its not a high end holster but both work.

Besides the debacle with the clip, how do you like the holster. I've been looking at that same one, but am not sure now. How is it?
