So I'm reading a gun rag, and in I don't know, either a feable attempt to be a bit fair and present both sides, or just to show the stupidity of the other side.. There was a quote from some head of come anti-gun committee.. (article was about personal defense ammo, i.e. hollow points, frags etc..)

I'm typing this from memory, so not an exact quote but it went something like this..

"There is no need [for regular citizens] to have these kinds of ammunition. They can penetrate cars etc.. If a citizen were shooting at someone for no reason with these loads, they can go to jail..."

Err.. If a citizen was shooting at anybody for no reason with ANY ROUND... they can (and should!!) go to jail!!

What kind of ignorant statement is that??? He speaks as if we gun owners condone shooting at people for no reason??

"Personal Defense".. someone reassure me the name of this catagory of ammo says it all.. DEFENSE..

I know of no gun owner that advocates the shooting of people for no reason..
Yes, this reconfirms what my momma has always told me.. Just when you think you've met the dumbest person in the world, just when you think you've scraped the bottom of the barrel.. there is always room to go lower..

I've been in the middle of RKBA stuff since around 1966. What I can tell you about the gun-grabber crowd is that they include some of the most gun-ignorant folks that are upright and breathing. In general, they will lie and twist the meaning of words to achieve their aim of total disarmament of all of us.

Their idea of "compromise" is in the tradition of the USSR: "What's mine is mine; what's yours is negotiable."

The only reason for any compromise with them is when they have enough of a political edge that you must fall back to "Something is better than nothing."

IMO, these hoplophobes are a cancer on the nose or the rearend of society, and that's as charitable as I can get.

so according to the labeling it can not an will not be considered Personal Offense ammo? what it will jam? refuse to fire? veer off target?

sure seems to me its a label of liability from the manufacture. common sense would tell us that any kind of ammo is dangerous an it all can be used for self defense.

so once again the antis prove that they dont listen to themselves talk or are saying out loud
