There was a party after this music show I helped put together last Saturday night. All college professors and rich hoity toity society types. During conversation I brought up the fact that I was to shoot the indoor pistol state championships the next day. Now the kicker is I've known most of these people for quite some time and they like and trust me. (or at least they pretend to 
)Then the antis started on gun control. I made it very clear to them that gun control did little more than disarm the law abiding citizen and give the criminal the advantage.Then we got to, "What about machine guns?" I explained that it's not the gun it's the person. I explained that ALL legitimate gun owners go through a background check and that they must prove that they are law abiding citizens. So what difference does it make what kind of gun they have? This all actually went over rather well. I then proceeded to invite each and every one of them to the range for a little indoc on the basis of, "You fear what you don't understand." The female head of the house hold we were partying at chimes in, "SHOOTING!?! I WANT TO GO!!" literally jumping up and down clapping her hands. She then proceeds to chide her two friends who were on the fence, "You guys have to go, it's FUN!!" I coulda kissed her, but her husband is a pretty big guy so I resisted the urge.
The one part I DID forget to include was how anybody can own a machine gun, you just have to spend a lotta money and jump through hoops. I'll save that one for next time.
I also didn't make any reference to the P-32 in my pocket.
