Duncan Hunter throws his hat in the ring for 2008

I probably spelled his first name wrong , but he has announced he is creating an exploratory committee for a presidential bid. Since he has a 100% pro gun voting record with the NRA, he's got my vote. Thats if he can make it out of the primaries. I'd much rather have Duncan than McCain.

On 2a issues, both are great.

Right now as things stand, Hunter is my 2nd choice behind Jim Gilmore.

He won't get the nom

I think that's pretty clear. Also, he may be looking at other problems... The feds have been putting the squeeze on the guys that bribed the Dukester, and rumor down here in SD has Hunter in the crosshairs. Of course, Gonzo-boy just fired the US Attorney who prosecuted Cunningham, so maybe Duncan's in the clear. He might even have not been involved in Duke's scams, but I think that's kind of unlikely, given how tight they were, both personally and professionally.

Just to be clear, this is all speculation. He hasn't been charged with anything. But if he is, there's one person in El Cajon who won't be surprised.

I've heard about the Cunningham Connection also. That would be depressing news indeed. We need Duncan Hunters right now. Honest ones, of course.
