Clearing out some leftovers from an estate, I came across a flexible powder container like the ones on a MEC shotgun reloading press. It is half full of powder and has masking tape labels on it marked "DuPont 80" and the charge weight for "30-06 180-gr bullet".

It looks like corn-cob polishing media but about half the grain size.

I'm NOT going to use it, but I have never heard of DuPont 80.

(The estate was from a gunsmithing gent who worked on 03s and such. He had many FMJ bullets drilled out to HPs for hunting, so I can imagine this was a ways back ...)

Anyone out there know anything about "DuPont 80"?

M.
