I ordered the DIY duracoat basic kit in matte black. It came with a small airbrush, propellant and an extremely small hose. After I did my long gun, which infact looks fantastic, I started on my smaller pistols. The propellant froze, so I put it in warm water. Then the airbrush hose link came apart, wouldn't go back on right, and the airbrush stopped working.

DURACOAT is great, just don't get their starter kit. I ordered a HVLP High Volume Low Pressure sprayer I can connect to my compressor, and not deal with that worthless airbrush propellant.

Just my two cents.

No experience with the toy airbrush that Lauer sells, but I bought a Testor's airbrush that used the propellant and applied DC to one gun with it. Then I threw it away.

I have heard repeatedly that an automotive detail spray gun is the best way to apply DC, and that's what I use now. A cheap, made-in-China spray gun works just fine for my purposes.
