I may be a minority, but I really dont like the two-tone look of most pistols
that have it.

I am looking for another CCW piece, and it looks like the CW9 (or CW40)
fit the bill

(Im trying to decide if I can live with the recoil of the 40 cal on such a light pistol)

Anyone tried duracoating the slide on this pistol? How did it come out? What prep did you do?

The P9 is $300 more. Too much to more to pay just get an all black gun. It's got the better barrel and a few other things but not worth the $300 to upgrade. Yeah, I'd like my CW9 to be all black also. The two tone makes the gun appear half metal and half plastic, which it is but I would look nice all one color.

Not trying to brag but,.....

Its not a Kahr but I thought just for knowledge sake,....I duracoated a Beretta 92fs slide and it came out excellent almost a factory look. It really did make it look like a new pistol. I have friends that know their guns and they couldn't tell the difference. Yes it was originally a blued slide but a lot of wear and tear to the finish is why I did it. I couldn't be happier. :)

Curious?

Have you ever shot a Kahr? I've owned three at one point. All great guns and have no problem possibly owning one again some day. Here is the "but" you knew was coming...... But if you've never shot a Kahr try to shoot one before you buy it! For as many people I know that like them I know as many that don't because of its trigger pull. They have a LONG trigger pull that I compare to a revolver. IMO it takes quite a bit of getting use to. Lots of range time. But if you've shot one and know this then I'm preaching to the choir.

And the intent being to "duracoat" a cw9/40 is going to take some work or so I would think. As far as roughing up the slide enough to get the duracoat to stick to it. My experience with it is if it doesn't sick well,........ it just doesn't wear well. YMMV

I picked up a CW9 recently to build holsters with and to possibly carry.

After shooting it I don't know if I feel comfortable carrying it without dedicating a lot of time shooting only it. The trigger is longer than my glock's but not terrible, what bothers me is the almost lack of stacking prior to the striker being released. First time out the gun startled me 3-4 times, firing before I was ready.

YMMV but just thought i'd throw it out there.

I shot a Cw9 a week ago

the trigger was long but something I could get used to

I currently have a DA/SA and would like to get one consistent pull
on my CCW

These Kahrs are very thin
