I hope there is a Gunsmith out there that know about this?

I know that one of the best ways to clean a Gun is to First Blow it off, get most of the lose dirt, but I read on one of the other forums about a Product called (Dust Off) its Compressed-Gas Duster used on computers and other things, what I want to know from a Gunsmith, will this cause any problems to the Gun (Metal) or anything else, have you ever heard of anyone using this.

I understand they use it in Iraq, because of so much sand.

If there is no problem with its use, (1) CAN would last a long time for the average shooter.

I am no gunsmith - professionally.!

Now that's out the way - I'd say that if this is what I expect then it is compressed nitrogen - inert and not gonna harm anything.

I am fortunate to have a compressor and use that to charge a portable 7 gall receiver - this sits by gun bench and lasts ages on a charge ... the can is of course cheaper but a portable receiver if charged by a friend would still be worth considering, even if you have no compressor of your own. Worth the initial investment IMo - mine was a Campbell IIRC and was about $17 .. then add some fittings and good to go.

Have one in front of me made for Radio Shack.I use it on my computer and keyboard(wish it make my keyboard spell better). Anyhow it contains tetrafluoroethane according to the label.
