Dynamic Research Technology Ammo

I ran across some Dynamic Research Technology at Cheaperthandirt the other day. Hadn't seen it before. It's got a powder core - is this the same as frangible ammo, or something different.

Anyone have an opinion on this type of ammo compared to JHP?

Just curious. Kind of makes sense from an over penetration perspective from what I read about it on there website.

I just might pick up a box for carry ammo. Anybody have any experience with this round that may help me decide on whether or not this would be good for a carry ammo?

Before you use it for carry, buy a few boxes and make sure it functions well in your gun.

I've always been of the opinion that regardless of what the tests and research and videos say, if I don't verify that it works in my gun, it's not getting carried. Now, I don't have a ccw but if I did, there'd be at least 200 rounds put downrange to function test before it got carried out in the world.

Gun i'd use it in is the Astra A90. And I plan on testing any ammunition I might use exstensively

Are those the guys that put pictures of bikini models on their boxes and expect to be taken seriously as a manufacturer of defensive ammunition?

In short, the stuff is total BS. I recall reading on another site about some fairly extensive testing done on this ammo and it grossly underperformed relative to other defensive ammo.
