The USPS delivered a package today with the 6" Hunter barrel (mags on backorder). Immediately took the Match apart and did some eyeball Engineering... looks like a fit. Put it all together and it works! I really wanted a full 6" Hunter but here in MD it runs $110 just to get a firearm through the legal channels and I didn't really care for the Hunter lower or the color. So for $195 I have the same basic thing and it still looks better than the Glocks with the 6" barrels having 1" hanging out :neener:

I did read on SwampFox's website a disclaimer about using his ammo in a 6" setup which has me concerned. I have a 20lb Wolff recoil spring and thought maybe I just need more spring. I did notice the feed ramp on the Hunter 6" barrel looks even more rounded and better than my 4.75" barrel. I can't wait to try it but want to be cautious too since some of the hot stuff may give close to 1700 FPS/1000 LBS if I can shoot it. Pics:

It's my favorite! Unless for some reason you like having the double action option with it. I think the parts can be purchased to do that mod as well.

Funny you mention that! When I was looking at the barrel hanging out I thought maybe this can be threaded. Question is though whether anyone makes an effective silencer to muffle it? I'm not too up on who is the best silencer maker out there or who could thread it for me.

I just ordered a 22lb Wolff spring for the 6" vs the 20lb I use for the 4.75". With the Lone Wolf 4.6" barrel in a G20 they got 1683 FPS/ 849 LBS using the proper recoil spring:

He has a disclaimer now about 6" barrels. Part of the reason I want to talk direct before buying a box of 135gr Noslers to see what it does out of a 6".

I personally got 1431/751 out of Underwood 165's so if the bump is like I see posted in YouTube videos that would put it 1550/880. I could see the SwampFox hitting maybe 1800 with 972.

We will see soon enough. I will update my sheet with what I get.

what kind of grips are those? has EAA changed the grip panels away from those thick houge feeling grips?

Yea this is a new model and they put different plastic grip panels on it with thumb rest. Also new is the tactical rail versus the old model without.

Maybe. But the 135 gr. bullets don't like that.

I've pushed 90 grainers in 9mm Luger to 1,690 FPS; Sure, they make a lot of energy, but they also blow up when they hit things.

IMO, anything under 180 is too light for full power 10mm velocities.

Yea the 135's are fragnasty when pushed there. Never saw it personally but a guy that shot a Deer with one said it looked like it swallowed a hand-grenade. Supposedly 165 is optimum for .40 and you are probably right 180's for 10mm. I managed 700 with 180's so it may hit 800 with those. Just fun to see how things change.

I don't know I'm kind of partial to the Glock with the 6" barrel/extended magazine look. It really gives a Glock some texture, and has a high tech look to it. With that said I find neither Glock or CZ 75's to be overly sexy guns, but I do really like, and own both.

I love swapfox ammo, but usually go with DT when buying full power 10mm ammo as Swampfox cost more and I have to pay in state sells tax for it, and Swampfox has way too high a shipping rates.(like $10 for every single item ordered) Still it is harder hitting stuff than anything I've gotten from DT.
