In trying to fix an EAA Windicator, Wierach German manufacturer.
It randomly locks up solid, with or without ammo, single and double action. The only way to get it working again is to open the cylinder, which sometimes takes force, and close it again.

The ejector rod is not loose. The center button in the ejector is not sticking. The cylinder release is in position correctly.
I've taken the entire action out of the frame and the hand & spring is fine, the firing pin safety is in position, the firing pin isn't sticking. Nothing appears to be out of position, damaged or worn. The cylinder stop works correctly.
The gun is practically new.

Check your cylinder firing gap with a gap gage. If it is fitted too tight, even a small amount of fouling can cause a lockup. https://www.guns.com/news/2011/05/0...volvers-and-their-effect-on-power-and-fingers "Today a typical cylinder gap runs 6 or 7 thousandths of an inch, or 0.006 – 0.007″, from article. "

I'm having this problem as well.
After research, I'm finding that the cylinder stop is being blamed as a known factory defect that EAA refuses to acknowledger or address. They charge an arm and a leg blaming the customer for "modifying their gun" and doing a slipshod repair that does not fix the issue.
