Can anyone out there definitively say that this revolver is a copy of a S&W, and if so, a copy of what?

Saw one at the range today, felt good in the hands, heavy but comfortable, and fairly accurate with only a 2" barrel. Owner said in passing that it's just a "generic European" copy of a S&W, I just don't recall what model S&W he mentioned.

Just curious.

Not a copy of a S&W unless you call any double action revolver that looks a little like a smith a copy. We sell them every now and then and have had few complaints. To me, they really resemble the old Rohm revolvers imported by K-Mart and others years back (pre-68). They, the RGs or Rohms, were cheap but the 32s and 38s locked up tight and gave lots of folks a gun for defense if they couldn't afford a Smith or Colt or Ruger.
We haven't had any complaints, yet.

Thanks, PapaG. I gathered as much from other threads.

This one (the Windicator) felt real good to hold and to shoot, and the finish was not something to sneer at either. Definitely on the heavy side, but then again, that helps with recoil management.

I was wondering (if I ever purchase one), what mainspring I can replace the original with (i.e., Wolff Gunsprings N,K,J-whatever-frame-size springs). The idea would be to get control over that heavy DA trigger pull.

Any ideas?
