I have read a lot about the EAA witness ELITE MATCH 45 and assume this is NOT the 45 offered here. (anyone know?)

This seems like a real deal as the conversion set is $199 on its own....BUT...does anyone have any experience with the "standard" EAA Witness 45 ACP?

Nope. I shoot the "expensive" version of that.

This is NOT the Elite Match. I own 2 Tanfoglio pistols (a 9mm and a 10mm) and love them both. They eat whatever kind of ammo that I feed them. I had to do a fluff and buff on the internals of both of mine to smooth out the trigger though. This 45 is a good looking gun. I really like the look of the Wonder finish.

I do not have a 22lr conversion for either of mine, but I have heard that you should only shoot high velocity ammo through it. Probably because the mass of the conversion and the weight of the .45 cal hammer spring.
