Took possession of my new Witness P Compact .45ACP today. Sadly I will not get to fire it until the 13th. Business calls and I must be gone :(

Good looking piece, feels good in the hand. Love the half cock safety. My gunsmith really liked the safety on it. Once the safety is on the hammer is not going anywhere. Thats a vote of confidence for the piece.

I have been contemplating purchasing a .45 as my winter carry gun. I know I probably could have gotten a better gun, but after reading Pat Cascio's article in the Nov/Dec issue of American Handgunner I figured for the price it sounded like a good gun.

I like the styling, the weight and the feel. Has adjustable rear sights and rails for a laser or a light. Compact enough to CC either IWB or OWB.

Draw back is no one makes a friggin holster for it. I sent an email to FIST and am awaiting a reply. HB Leather, Crossbreed, and Don Hume do not make a holster for the Witness. So that could get a bit difficult. So if anyone in THR land knows of a good CC holster for the Witness I'd appreciate you letting me know. I'm sure there are others that would appreciate the info as well.

After I shoot I'll post results. Til then happy shooting.

Since the EAA Witness models are really Tanfoglios based on CZ designs there are likely some holsters around that will fit. If it's nearly the same as one of these you should find something.
I've recently gotten one of their full size 22/45 comination models and based on the one range trip so far liked it very well in both calibers.

tawcat, I feel your pain. I couldn't find holsters for some of the guns I like, so a while back I started making my own. You might want to check to see if there is a kydex bender in your area that will custom mold a ccw holster to your specs. Body type, carry position, belt size, cant, etc. I could make you about anything you want, but I don't have a mold for that gun. Good luck in your search.

I have one of these guns. Mine is a "before accessory rail" version. Really can't complain about anything with the gun. In regards to holsters, as was stated in an earlier post the guns are based on a CZ75 design so pretty much any holster for a CZ75, CZ97, AR24, or a Baby Eagle will fit. However you should always test fit a holster as others may work also. I use a Tagua high ride belt slide for a Glock for winter ccw. It fits nicely.

Well it does appear that there are not many options or specfics for this weapon. I managed to order an IWB holster from FIST-Inc. Probably will take upwards to 2 months before I get it.

In the meantime if anyone out there has any other suggestions (specifics) they would be greatly appreciated.

I own one too. I really like mine as well. It's pretty much my truck gun and I don't have a holster either. (but then again it stays in a gun rug in the truck) I thought I read somewhere that a Sig P226 holster would fit??? I don't know but I bet either the CZ holsters or a Sig will fit the bill.

Tangfolio originally went this way, but recently, they've redesigned their pistol (made them slightly larger) so that they're not so interchangeable with Cz pistols any more.

Also, the Witness .45 evolved in Tangfolios design bureau from the original Cz75 design they produced, and shouldn't be considered a direct copy of the Cz 97.

You can still get an "original frame" Tangfolio clone (they're produced under license by Armscor now) from Centerfire Systems in steel and polymer In two barrel lengths.
