eaa witness 10mm.

a coworker has a eaa witness in 10mm. sub compact for 475. it ls fairly new in good shape. I don't know much about eaa's.

is it worth it?

No. You can get a Match for the same money.

If you want a Witness get a new one because the life time warranty is not transferable, aside from that they are very accurate and reliable.

He's about $150 high for a used compact. I paid $300 for mine brand new. Of course, that was 8 years ago.

Good gun, though. Mine has had no problems with my hot 10mm loads over the years.

I like Tanfoglio pistols, but I'm not sure I would want a 10mm compact in any case.

Not recommended (used or new) because at some point you may have to deal with EAA...enough said....

I absolutely love my 10MM Witness compact. It just "rocks in my hand" when I shoot it, and it's pretty much a tack driver. I bought a "deal bag" from a local shop who had one on consignment.$400 and I got 4 slide sets in 10MM, a slide set in .45ACP, and a bevy of magazines for it. I carry it with the long slide on, and had EAA fix the sights on it (which they did by sending me a new slide)... so I think I made out like a bandit.

It's one of my favorite guns to shoot, and I keep looking for a .40 cal slide set and mags so I can pack one gun in 3 calibers. To me, that's cool...

Tanfoglio pistols are worth it, regardless of EAA. The truth is, dealing with their gruffness might be annoying to some, but EAA always stands behind their products and always does repair work. It's odd that I would defend them as I don't care for EAA, but mostly due to their cheap prostitute image they have long fostered.

However, I will defer to an owner of the 10mm compact's experience. I once owned a 45acp Tanfoglio compact and it was a great pistol.

If I were going 10mm, I'd get the Witness Hunter - a bigger beefier gun with a longer barrel, better IMO for hunting, and with the mass to make the 10mm more manageable.

Or, as others mentioned here, the Witness Match is an outstanding pistol.

I have both and the Hunter does tame 10's a ton. The Match guide rod can be beefed up with a Henning cone piece.
