Is it just me or have others noticed how much easier and time consumed in cleaning is so much less in the Remington New Army 58 design? Thru the summer I bought a 5 1\2 inch ROA in blue to go along with my 58s and three Colt designs. Even the ROA with all of Bill Rugers advancements still for me does not beat the Remington for ease of cleaning. In particular I am talking about the removal of the trigger plate which is attached with only one screw. Along with the grips held in position by only another screw it just leaves the whole frame more open after these are opened up. Flushing with hot soapy water followed by a hair dryer seems to eliminate most if not all of the crud that is in the works. The Ruger has 5 screws and two small springs that need to be lined up even though the grips are held by 1 screw for a total of six. This has probably been brought up before but it just seemed like the right thing to ask on a Friday evening. Thanks for your patience.
