I hope they re-consider building the store they proposed to open in 2014 in Delaware. The state is trying to restrict capacity in rifles to 5 rounds along with the other so called "common sense" measures, which of course make no sense.

And re-reading their Facebook page, seems they are a sponsor, not just an exhibitor. Reed Exhibitions is not going to be in business very long, even if they reverse their decision now.

Contact Reed Exhibitors at [email protected] and let them know how you feel, I did. Also contact Cabelas and thank them and contact NRA to bring pressure to bear. If you have facebook, get on Eastern Outdoor Sportsmens Show Facebook page and let them know how you feel. We MUST stop this tactic of driving a wedge between hunters and shooters immediately. We must ALL STAND TOGETHER! Thanks!

I don't know if they'll change their name...but you could find them last week conducting the SHOT SHOW out in Vegas!

This decision, here in PA, is hard to fathom.

The more I think about it, the more I think this was a way to "test the waters." Mr. Obama said himself, the only way to get this legislation done is to bring them (hunters and outdoors types) to our side.

This was a test of our resolve as a group. I'm proud to see the industry hanging together, instead of hanging separately.

So far there are around 110 businesses and celebrities that are taking a stand. No word yet if the NRA is following suit....they are listed as having two booths. Maybe their phone lines need to be lit up.....

I see Cabela's on there so I am assuming all of these have pulled out of the show.

Excellent! We desperately needed a national chain to back us up, particularly after Dick's did their "sensitivity" measure last month. Cabela's is one of my heroes now.

Cabelas and Bass Pro... two of a kind. Bass Pro does not have a presence in PA (never mind, but Sam reminded me below and now that I think about it my brothers have visited the store in Harrisburg.), but they also dropped out early before this bs started.

Wha??? There's a Bass Pro on Paxton Street in Harrisburg about a mile from the PA Farm Show Complex where the ESOS is being held.
