That auction fairly REEKS of a sting operation. Too well done, too slick, and eBay does have rules againsts illegal drugs and other items as well as firearms.

Keep your eye's on it, if it's pulled it is an illegal auction, if it stays, I say it's a sting.

I put "pot" in and got 22,000+ hits
"Bud" gets about 7600
"Weed" 916
I'm sure it would be time consuming to check and verify every single item that is posted for auction. Although maybe a good program could probably automatically flag suspect items?
On top of the ridiculous amount of fraud that goes on, however, it seems that Ebay is actually a monster that is teetering on the verge of being out of control
Oh, and I've spotted auctions for guns before. Emailed one guy and suggested he pull it, got a fairly nasty response that basically said he doesn't care and has sold guns before that ebay never even noticed him selling them.

:uhoh:

I tried to sell a couple of older satellite access cards that were legal mind you and they pulled my auctions twice. Meanwhile, there are several others with the exact same type of card for sale up there.

Bunch of idiots!!!

I f all gunowners quit selling on ebay 'no matter what the items we were selling'' for 1 month they would crawl back to us:D Same with paypal:cuss:

Four feedback points from last year, and two open auctions this year... Hmm...

Interesting question - aren't seeds/personal quantities legal in Canada?

They pulled a 10-round Kel-tec P32 magazine I listed in just under 7 hours!!!

Probably because I said it would give your Kel-tec 10+1 firepower. :banghead:

Ebay auction #2992942119

I reported it to Ebay (FWIW), they'll probably do nothing. I also reported it to the Vancouver BC Police, mentioning that even if selling the seeds isn't illegal, that big 'ol bush they're on probably is.:D That's about all any of us can do, and hope it will be acted on.

The seeds may be very well legal. but, read between the lines on this particular quote from the auction.

To show our appriciation for your business, we will include your seeds with 1/8lb of our special coffee.

Yep, coffee.

Well, it probably really is coffee. I believe the idea being the scent would throw off any dogs that may happen to sniff the package.

You can't throw off a dog's scent. They don't smell chili, they smell meat, chili powder, beans, tomato, etc. That's why they are so good at what they do.

BTW, does it come with Doritos and Twinkies?? :p

just FYI 1/8th is a pretty random amount when associated with COFFEE. But it is a common quantity when it comes to grass. Thats what tipped me off to the idea.

I would think technology is a HUGE contributor to freedom, so why people still insist REPORTING someone to the police for the selling of a gun part, (especially inside the usa and on this board) is beyond me. :banghead:

They oughta have themselves a huge glass of Haterade!

Buncha haters. Just turning them in because they like watching others get busted. Or they agree with Ebay's policies, which I doubt

Guns that is... not dope.

I wouldnt turn in an auction for EITHER guns OR grass.

If people can circumvent the silly rules that surround these things then MORE POWER TO THEM. Now if someone had an auction that resulted in someone getting hurt (human organs???) then MAYBE i would say something. I don't consider this stuff to be my buisiness though. But, it is interesting to see what Ebay catches and what they dont.

Call me what you will for informing ebay about a receiver be sold, but it is this kind of dealing that give the anti's their ammunition about rogue firearm dealings. This is about more than just dropping a dime on someone for petty jealousy. I can see the headlines now, "Ebay allows guns to be sold to anyone without a license."

Those of you who have disapproved with my actions don't realize this, then there is no explaining it to you, you'll never get it.
