I'm curious to see what lights you all carry on a day to day basis.
I keep a 4D Maglite in my car, and I just replaced my minimag with a 4Sevens Quark X AA^2 Tactical. This new light is a real eye opener for me. The level of superiority over the minimag is incredible!

I recently switched from an Energizer light to one of these Streamlight Microstreams.

Streamlight Microstream

Me too. For it's size it's easily the best light I've ever owned. Affordable too. I think I paid something like $15 for it, and a single AAA battery lasts for a couple months of regular use.

Just watched a video on Olight SR 50 I think, might be SR52. Anyway it's a
800 leuman fit in your pocket with strobe. Might have to get me one.

Olight SR 50
7 1/4" x 2 1/2" and a weight of half a pound seems a little big for EDC (Every Day Carry) in your pocket.

My EDC for several years is a Streamlight Stylus.

Not the brightest, but it is very little bigger then the ball point pin next to it in my shirt pocket.

My "close at hand when it's dark" light is a Surefire 6P with a Malkoff 180 lumen LED head in it.

streamlight packmate. It has 3 white LED, 3 green LED and 1 green LED. the green are great when you dont want to lose your night vision. The other night at a bonfire, i used the green light to look for my 11 yr old. I didnt disturb the other partiers. The 125 lumen white light will light up the night. It does eat up the CR123 batteries, tho.

My AR has a Surefire g2 non-LED. It is perfect for its job as well. The Streamlight is cool for most stuff, but the surefire seems much more reliable for a weapon light.

my daughter has a small coleman 85 lumen from walmart that uses 3 AAA batteries. That thing is very nice. I paid less than $20. It is as bright as my surefire, the is very efficient with the batteries and the batteries are very cheap. I am buying these colemans for my wife and friends stocking stuffers.

Streamlight's PT-2L is always on my belt and is the same length as my cell phone case. I also have 'em in the glove box of all my vehicles.

Next to my bed gun, I keep a Streamlight Nightfighter-just ordered another, this time the newer Nightfighter X. Probably should have just stuck with the old Nightfighter, as I'd rather have the extra run time than the extra output-just thought I'd try the new one fer my own personal edification.

I have a Surefire G2 next to my bed, and my daily light is this little "tactical" Duracell flashlight that I got at target for 15 bucks. Surprisingly, it is a pretty good little task light, though I wouldn't compare it to a Fenix or Surefire or something similar in size. Still, for a light that I can keep on me at work and keep attached to my bag and stuff, it is more than up to the task. I used a minimag for years, and this one is several orders of magnitude better for just a very few dollars more. I also have a Maglite LED that I keep at my girlfriends house, and it is a pretty good light as well. Again, nothing fancy, but for what I need it for, it works pretty well.

Some nice stuff in here guys!

specs on my Quark:

Dimensions:
Length: 5.8 inches
Diameter: 0.86 inches
Weight: 2.2 ounces

Output and modes:
Cree XM-L LED

Low: 2.7 lumens for 3 days
Medium: 24 lumens for 20 hours
High: 115 lumens for 2.5 hours
Max: 280 lumens for 0.8 hours
Strobe: 280 lumens for 1.6 hours
SOS: 280 lumens for 3 hours
Beacon: 0-280 lumens pulse for 8 hours

a few years ago, at Target, i picked up this little, 1AA LED light, made by a company called River Rock that i'd never heard of. here are some links to pictures of it:

i paid less than $10 for it, and it has been my favorite light, over more expensive brands like Streamlight. one lithium AA battery lasts what seems like forever. it's rugged as all-get-out; i've put it through the wash, i've dropped it countless times, and it won't quit.

i bought a small, 1AA Inova a few months after i bought the River Rock, thinking that, since it was a better known name, and cost me quite a bit more, it would be a better light. i was wrong. the Inova got dropped into a river, and never worked again. i went back to using the RR, and haven't had any reason to buy another pocket torch for daily carry.

I've got an LRI Proton Pro. It's a 100-ish lumens, 1xAA sort of thing.

It's a bit dated, a bit expensive, and has a very poorly designed pocket clip, but I've grown fond of it.

It also has a secondary red LED, which I find to be a source of tremendous novelty. Nothing better for ninja-ing around the house at night.

My backup is a Ruger Scout. The construction is a bit cheesy and it's a little unreliable. I would not recommend it.

I've also got a few Mini Maglites in a state of disrepair. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet since it seems like it would be cheaper to buy newer better lights than to repair and upgrade them much.

Streamlight Microstream and Nano are two of my favorites. The NEBO fingertip flashlight saw a lot of use lately especially when that freak October snowstorm left us without power. I recently picked up one of the mini maglights with the led bulb. I was extremely impressed and it now resides in my coat pocket.

I have an Eagletac PN20a on my keychain, 70 lumens out of a single AAA flashlight. In my shoulder bag I have a Leatherman Monarch 400 which is a 1 AA flashlight. I have a Fenix that uses a single CR123 lithium battery which was a little brighter than the Leatherman, but the battery life sucked. One of the nice things about having AAA or AA battery powered flashlights is that if I need to stop and pick one up at a convenience store I know they'll have them. Finding CR123s can be tricky in some places.

Steamlight Scorpion with belt clip

Have 3 one on my belt, one in the truck, one on the night stand.

39 bucks for incredible quality and illumination.

I largely gave up on the cheap flashlights a long time ago. Sure, they're inexpensive, and they work just as good as the expensive lights......right up until they don't, which usually happens after the tiniest little bump, or for just no apparant reason whatsoever. Even Fenix lights can be glitchy, and have fallen from favor as my primary "go-to" lights.
I pretty much stick with Surefires, Streamlights, Inovas, and even a few mag-lights. I still have numerous cheaper lights that I really like, but they're not what I grab when the dog's barking or the doorbell rings after dark.
I have so many friggin' lights, I always have one within easy reach. But, the only one I have on me at all times ( or at least all times I have my keys with me) is just a little Photon LED key-chain light. They're pretty decent quality, very low volume, and are more than sufficient for lighting up the garage or driveway.
They're no substitute for a "real" light, or for someone that uses a light regularly, but they probably oughta be on every key chain ( the company claims that they're used by astronauts and secret service)......

Some of you are sure to knock it, but I carry a Nebo Redline. It's brighter than my Surefire.

I just picked up an Eagletac P100A2. It's a great light for $40.

I like the 2xAA form factor, and it's plenty bright. Extra points for a standard "forward clickie" (think Surefire) vs. the "reverse clickie" (Fenix) It will run alkaline AA's or NiMH rechargeables as well.

i picked up a few Nebos at a gunshow while back, specifically, these:

i keep one as a spare in my BUGout bag, and i gave a few to my brother and some friends. they're good for the money, which wasn't much, and the teeth on the bezel are nasty.

I am a flashlight junkie and have at least 12.

Currently, I carry a Fenix TX12, and a Streamlight micro stream. Love them both.
