I had a chat with a supervisor at the ATF about something else and I brought up the eForms roll out. They said that Form 1 is a trial to see how everything goes. They also said the Form 4 will hopefully be coming out before the end of the year. That is was the schedule looks like now. They didn't report any issues with the eForm 1 and it seems to be working well. From the conversation it sounded like the goal is for it to happen very soon. My guess would be December or January at the latest if they hit snags. They made it sound like next month....but this is the government and they noted my sentiment as well.
