i have a chance to buy a used but good condition enfield ? in 30'06 i dont know if it has been sportarized or if it came this way the other pics ive saw of military enfields have big ears protecting the rear sight but this rifle has no ears and no sighns of them being ground off it has an old scope on it in weaver mounts with a gold bead front sight and a buckhorn style rear right at the front of the reciver where the front of the scope starts, is this military / sportarized or did this rifle come this way from the factory i cant find any markings except a serial number on the reciever any info would be greatly appreciated.

yup probibly a M1917.

these were made to supplement 1903 production for WW1. roughly 75% of our Doughboys over there had m1917's

sporter versions, especialy ground off ears are not worth that much.. ( 200$?)

original condition start at 500$ and go up depending on manufacterer and other points of interest

Look for the flaming bombs to tell you it is military, also the mfg is probably under the scope mount, if it was me I would take a look to see who made it.
