I have a NAIT Viper night scope with an attached Elcan base. Odd as it may seem, I want to put it on a Marlin 30-30 with standard Weaver 1-piece base.
The problem is two fold:
1. Elcan to Weaver does not exactly fit.
2. The scope is so short that the eye relief would need to be like 5 inches but it is only about 1 inch.
This is going to be a tight eye relief even if I figure out how to mount it, but does anybody know of an adapter that could used to both connect the Elcan mount to the Weaver base AND extend the scope back toward the shooter?
