I realize that conventional wisdom dictates that during an election year, firearm purchases are made at a higher price. That being said, maybe I should just wait for a few months. Having stated this. I do have a couple of rifle question, comparisons.

1. Classic Firearms has a Polish Radom built AK. Radom made Polish reciever and chrome lined barrell. The rest of the rifle is Romanian made parts kit with U.S. compiance parts. Assembled at Radom facility in Poland. $549

2. VZ-2008. A Century contracted out, built version of the VZ-58. Milled reciever (non-standard AK mags) Almost all reviews seem to be positive. Century monkeys do not seem to be involved. $499

$50 dollars either way is really no big deal.

Any experience or opinions either way. A decent, dependable, reliable AK type, for less than $600 in this day and age of firearm inflation seems to be a "pretty" good deal to me.

Please feel free to correct me and advise if I am mistaken.

Ah but your conventional wisdom about gun buying on election years only holds true if there isn't a v. strong chance a reelection will lead to decreased rights of private citizens.

if #1 takes double stacked ak mags id get that one. just in case **** hits the fan i don't have to worry about if the mag will fit or not. also you could get a drum..?

you could also get a complete Romanian for $600 or less around my area.

Election year priceing is kind of strange, in 2008 ar's were way way overpriced, I went the gun show last week, and the priceing was very competitive. It will be interesting to see the pricing in november

My advice to you Americans is to buy up. Very good chance this fella would be re-elected. In second term he would have nothing to lose.
