I am looking at firearm related bills at Hawaii Rifle Association's website when I saw this.

My question is does electric gun means airsoft?

Etronix came to mind, but being that there are probably a whole ten of 'em out there, I just can't see them being specifically addressed. In any document. Ever.

The Etronix is covered under the old law: "or which the operating force is an explosive".

Well, technically, nitrocellulose is a propellant... but never mind that.

The amendment is probably targeted at tasers, or perhaps as a pre-emptive regulation of ray-guns. (New Jersey, I know, has a ban on directed energy weapons)

I went to a very Quake place when I read the thing about "electric guns" - they've used mass drivers and lightning guns at various points in the series, after all. ^_^

Something I read once about using a Tesla coil wrapped around a high-pressure water cannon firing a tight stream of salt water...
