Anyone have any ideas on which type of ear muff device is the best. I've got a an old pair of Silencio Range Safe RSX 87, that still work very well except they're getting quite heavy after a day on the range. I haven't seen any of that brand around anymore. I've been seeing Caldwell, Pelter, and another brand I can't recall. Anybody have any opinion on which brand and model to get?

Well no opinions on the electronic hearing protection, so I bought a pair of Howard Leght Impact Sports. So far they seem to fit fairly comfortable, and they only cost $69.99. Now hopefully they will keep out the report of the firearms, but allow me to hear the range commands, this following week at Front Sight in Pahrump, Nevada. I need to go down and get recertified as a NRA Firearms instructor in the shotgun, handgun, and rifle. Looking forward to the class and instruction.:D

I bought those on a steal from Dick's. You will like them. I use them with foam ear plugs and if I turn the volume up I can talk to people no problem.

Thanks Wolfpack for the reply. I allready wear hearing aids that reduce the noises of gunfire, however they take a short time to respond to range commands, hopefully I'll be able to depend solely on the ear muffs.:)
