I would go for the body guard or centennial style. The Chief's style exposed hammer makes me cringe after the experience I had a few years back. I bought a 637 for my wife. She doesn't shoot much but has had to use a gun in a defensive situation against a man in a road rage incident. I knew her carry load needed to be replaced and her weapon needed cleaning. I sent my son to retrieve her gun from her purse. LUCKILY I have pushed gun handling with my children since early on. He brought me the weapon pointed in a safe direction with the hammer back. His finger was outside the guard. I calmly told him the gun could easily fire in that condition. I asked if he had cocked it and he said he found it that way in her purse. That 637 met with the grinding wheel shortly there after. I test fired to make sure I still had enough trigger mass for proper ignition and she carries that gun to this day. Knowing how light the pull is on a single action pull, I am lucky my wife didn't light that off.
