Stalin's infamous order #221...
The text of Stalin's order is included in the book, although it's shown as order #227. I don't know which is correct.


Also, Kruschev was the chief political officer for the Stalingrad Front. He may not have done the things portrayed in the movie, but he was certainly there.
I didn't say he wasn't there, I said Zaitsev never mentioned him in his book. Like I said, I was just pointing out the discrepancies between it and the movie.

And my favorite scene that gave me a good laugh was when he met Kruschev and one of the reporters said "He used to shoot wolves, now he shoots fascists." :D
