I just picked up a 1918 lee enfield 303 brit. it is a parts gun, no matching numbers, but is in great shape. it has the ATI synthetic stock. I have several 303's that are all matching numbers. just wanted to ask. this one is made of miss matched number parts, and I would like to scope it and make it my deer rifle. I do not like the modern no gun smithing mounts. do you think that drilling and tapping would be a bad idea, I do not know if the guns that do not have matching numbers are worth the ones that are.
