Enfield .455 revolver question

I came across a revolver the other day. It is an Enfield made version of the Webley MK VI made in 1924. It has 97% finish and period holster. It is apparently a low production version of the Webley revolver according to the one book I have with any information.


Does anyone know anything interesting about them or a good book to buy about british revolvers?

Make sure some fool didn't convert it to shoot .45 ACP in half-moon clips years ago!

And if it is converted to .45 ACP, don't fire it with factory .45 ACP or .45 Auto Rim. Those old guns have been known to blow with .45 ACP, which is at least 25% over max pressure for the .455 Webley revolver.
