I have a shaved Mark I I'll gladly trade. :)

Speaking of... if you still haven't found a set of dies by the time your bullets and other supplies show up, PM me. I have a 3-die Lee set in .455 Webley I use to make .455/.45AR and .455/.45ACP BP and light smokeless loads for my shaved Webley. I will lend them to you until you can get your own dies squared away or enough ammo loaded to last a lifetime - that is, if Lee's are okay for your reloading setup.

I did finally find a set of dies. I finally found a seller on ebay that had good feed back and a reasonable price on one of the Lee Die sets forsale. None-the-less I really appreciate the offer.

My .2 cents; if I have shaved Webley, I would use 45 AR brass only. Just to avoid mix up between 45 ACP lighter and standard loads.

BTW, somebody mentioned that he sent Webley cylinder to open chambers on .4525" dia, so standard solid base base bullets could be used. Apparently, groups shrunk considerably. All .455" Webleys have undersized chambers, something like .447"-.450" dia. This was done in order to bump pressure because original load Mk I was made using black powder. That is the reason why standard .455" Webley bullets are hollow base, so they could expand and grab the rifling when exit cylinder.

I am pretty good about keeping my ammo well marked and separated, thankfully I won't have to do that for the Webley in this case,

I have measured the throats on my Webley cylinder and they appear to be about .452 but I plan to cast the throats and bore with Cerrosafe in the near future to confirm those measurement. The solid base bullets I shot (see up thread), shot reasonable well for the age of the revolver. That said I am waiting on a batch of bullet from Matt's bullets that are proper copies of the Mk II hollow based bullet so I am hopeful that the will shoot even more accurately than the current commercial ammo I am shooting.

Collected lots of Webleys over years and have at least one of each mark. I doubt i've seen 2 unshaved ones in 40 years. Nice find!! I have a minty 6 one that they shaved and must have put somewhere for safekeeping and never shot. I use ARs in all my others. Must admit i have been tempted to shoot my .476 MII enfield (RCMP issue) but too expensive and will go to RIA soon with some of the others. .45 ACP should be reserved for Colt and Smiths.

I use nickel cases some times to differentiate from "other loads" or use a specific bullet per load. I also sort, label and package carefully along with records. Often I'll write on the primer to indicate a load as below. These are test loads.

I like idea of using nickel plated cases for different loads for different revolvers. However, the only problem is in this case no nickel plated 45 AR brass, at least I never heard about it.

BTW, 38 Special rounds with nickel plated cases, and pre WWII Smith & Wesson M&P bring nice memories from sixties.

Looks like Starline isn't currently offering nickel for anything (that I saw). That's sort of disappointing.
