Does anyone make a polymer enlarged bolt handle knob that can fit over the bolt handle knob that comes on the Ruger 77 MkII rifle? Something a bit larger and longer.

The knob on my Ruger 77 compact rifle is a bit small and hard to manipulate quickly. Would like one that was easier, sort of like a Styer Manlincher sharpshooters rifle knob.

I don't want to weld one on, just something that fits over the existing one.

Thanks,

I have a cz that I ground the round knob into a cube, then an octagon ,added a few more sides and finally a cylinder formed. Then I threaded that and screwed on a knob I bought off Midway. It's not a simple task, but I think it was easier than trying to weld.

I've got one of the two piece screw together bolt knobs on my Remington 700 AAC SD.

I'm almost certain it's the FDE, KRG in the link below, but I don't have the rifle available to check at the moment.

I'm pretty sure it would work on an M77 but it would take some Dremel or file work and maybe some epoxy to fit it properly.

I think I paid around $20 for mine at a LGS a couple years back. It's held up well, makes the bolt easier to use and hasn't caused any problems, but don't expect the same feel you'd get with a properly installed thread on oversized bolt handle.

That's the idea Swampman! I'll look into it.

And thanks greyling. Yes I could saw it off, drill and tap, and do it that way to.

There is a good Plan A, and Plan B. After deer season I'll look real hard at these options.

Easier time finding it quickly, easier to manipulate. Ive missed the knob a couple times when changing position and trying to reload, i could see it being an advantage. I dont like them on bolts that angle back tho
