I am new to this forum and am asking my first question!!!
I purchased an Erma LA-22 for very little bucks a while back. Now I must disassemble it - known to not be a fun job. The pistol has a broken firing pin and the front toggle is cracked where the hinge pin connects it to the bolt.

New parts are now on hand and I need to disassemble the pistol to make the repairs. I know it does NOT disassemble anything like my Luger does. I have seen exploded drawings of the piece and it looks to have a couple springs that will be really "interesting" to deal with.

If anyone can give me a line on the disassembly/ reassembly instructions I would greatly appreciate it. This is one gun I really don't feel good about just jumping into without documentation.

Thanks

I have a Erma LA .22 pistol and need a safety lever spring....I was wondering where you found your parts at. Thanks for your time and response. I'm not too good at the computer thing. If you could leave me your reply at my email would be best. It is [email protected] Thanks again for any help you can give me.

Dang, another Erma thread. :D I didn't know anyone, but me still had one of those things.

Here's what I posted on the other thread....

I have an LA22 and it ain't that big a deal to take down. Push forward from the rear and take out the pen in front, then let it slide to the rear and take out the toggle bolt pin (spring loaded) and pull the firing pin out and the bolt out and the top assembly off as I recall. I haven't shot the thing in years. It is pretty worn and the safety is broke, but it still shoots with a feed jam now and then. I bought it used in the early 70s. Once you get used to it, it ain't that complicated. Just watch for flying springs when you pull the toggle bolt out.
