Gun Dream

I remember having a "nightmare" shortly after I got my Texas CHL. Stayed up late one night, playing some stupid sub simulation, got hungry and ordered a pizza, the usual pepperoni/mushroom/green pepper type.

Now, Ichowed down a good bit of the pizza, despite knowing this was guaranteed nightmare material. Usually what would happen a couple hrs after falling asleep I would would end up getting chased around the block by some big hungry looking werewolf, until I awoke in a cold sweat.

This time the dream was a bit different. :D

I remember the dream starting out set in darkness with me pulling up in my truck to my place and getting out. Then, the usual werewolf jumps out from behind some nearby bushes and starts advancing in my direction, snarling.

In the dream, I remember instantly pulling my newly acquired CCW piece - a Colt 1911 .45 Series 80 - and without any hesitation shooting the monster twice COM.

The werewolf blinked, looked stunned (this I clearly remember) and then ran off in the opposite direction. I then woke up because I was chuckling so hard. Slept pretty well the rest of the night - and NEVER - regardless of late night diet , ever had that or similiar nightmares again. :D

Once I dreamt that I was belly-crawling across my high school gymnasium floor in about 3 inches of water with some kind of rifle. My mission was to kill Adolf Hitler, who for some reason was on stage wearing an orange Illini sweater.

I had a nightmare a couple of weeks ago, it was actually pretty scary. My gun...wasn't working right.

I was in a situation where my a relative (whom I will not name) was in a maniac-depressive state and held someone hostage with a gun. I want to draw and he threw the person down and for some reason everytime I shot, my bullets would arch and just plop out of the gun, I was freaking out heart racing and my slide was all jammed up. I ran behind a car and tried to get the magazine to come out but it wouldn't come out. Relative runs behind the car and shoots me in the shoulder blade and I feel a burning sensation throughout my shoulders and back. I wake up and I must have been sleeping wrong or something because I never had such a sore back in my life, maybe growing pains.

Rather strange nightmare but thats the only one I've had gun related.

Sadly I have not had a dream since 2002, thats the day I lost parts of my right arm and lots of memory.
Prior to that All of the dreams that I remember are of me seeing myself like in third person. I am jogging thru the sand, with very low light like at night, in unidentified territory, a 1911 .45 in my right hand and left hand on the pommel of my K-Bar. I am going from small tent to tent, and in front of me, slightly to the left is a dark cloaked figure of a man. I only see the back of him. He is on point and enters before me every step of the way.
I really think it in my best interest to describe no more of the dream, probably at least one psychiatrist in the fellow THR brethren here.
I have not ever had the gun wont fire dream, or running out of rounds dream, or an unlimited amount of rounds dream. have had the heavy trigger pull dream, but it still went bang.
Be thankful of your dreams you guys.

once.several armed men break into my house, I'm alone, I grab my revolver, and pull the trigger a few times, but nothing happens. Then one of them walks up to me, puts the gun to my head, and fires.I fall down, field of vision slowly narrows, then all goes black and I wake up.EXTREMELY vivid dream, yet when I woke up, I wasnt at all sweaty or scared, as I apparently instantly realized it was just a dream.Did pretty well creap me out though. The sight/sensations as it all went black and I died was just VERY realistic seeming and downright creapy.Luckily, only had the 1 dream, once.

I have had the dream many times, when I am trying to shoot, that only squib rounds will fire and does no damage. I have also had the one with the trigger pull at 100lbs.

I've had several. The most recent was a couple of nights ago when I dreamed I was preparing to repel the enemy by fire and close combat and checking the fit of a bayonet on an old Moissen Nagant (I had lots of ammo too). I've also had an Enfield (No 1 MK. III Jungle Carbine), an M-16A2, some AK variant, an Uzi, a Browning Hi-Power, a flintlock--don't know where that came from... and an M-2 Bradley.

Just had another.

SHTF and all i could find was a Ruger .22.

Then i went and found a giant brick of .22 to load up a mag. I ended up loading the rounds in backwards. When i tried to reverse them i found out they were too big to fit in the magazine. And i looked through every box and all of them were different in size even though it was all marked with .22

I once had a dream that I was amid a nation of guns. All calibers getting along together working for the same forward thinking goal, and they used all of the yellow slips as wadding and toilet paper. It was a magical place that I hope to one one day be able to my call home......again :neener:

Now that's just funny. I actually recited it out loud in my best MLK voice.

How about a hunting one? (there was a gun involved.)

I dreamed one night that I killed a deer. The dream was so vivid that the next morning, when I put my hand in the hat to draw stands I KNEW which number I was going to draw. I had even told someone about it. When the tag came out with #25 on it, I showed it him and said "Remember what I told you?"

In the dream the dogs jumped three deer. Two does, and a buck. They came by me from left to right, with the two does in the lead, and the buck a few seconds behind. I shot the buck twice (12 ga. No 1 buckshot).

Within an hour of getting on my stand, the dogs jumped, and the chase played out exactly the way it had in my dream. It was like watching a video. Two does, left to right, followed by the buck. Two shots and the deer was down for the count. (The buck was a nice six pointer but nothing special.)

Now that I think about it, I can't remember ever having a gun dream. Considering how many waking moments I think about guns, it seems strange.

I recently had a dream that I was attacked by six gun-wielding robbers
on a public bus, and all I had was a 5 shot revolver. :uhoh:

I think I had seen "The Brave One" (starring Jodie Foster) a few days before...
I'm suprised I didn't dream that I had her Kahr K9.

Only gun dream I ever had.

I have had the worst dream EVER related to guns, my dream went like this,

I had just gotten back from a gun store and decided to go ahead and shoot my new XD45 the next day, I remember that in the dream I went to bed, woke up the next morning early, it was a perfect day, I remember loading up all of my guns in my truck and right when I was pulling away..... my real alarmclock went off and I woke up for real, and it was a Tuesday, I had to go to work and sit in meetings all day:( and i realized that I didnt have an XD45:( it was probibly the most depressing dream I have ever had:uhoh:

I DONT EVEN HAVE A CENTERFIRE ANYTHING YET... maybe thats why I dream about centerfire guns:confused: maybe my dream was a sign that I should go buy an XD45:D....haha
