Ever have a gun pulled on you?

Almost, twice. The first time I was 16,setting on a couch in a friends living room with my younger brother. My friend's dad was LAPD.Friend comes out of bedroom with a pump 12 gauge.Racks the slide, points it at my brother and pulls the trigger "click".He laughs, I jump up and roughly take the gun from him.Next thing I know he is flying over the coffee table getting beat in the face with with his phone by my brother. He was pretty bruised up and I explained it to his dad hen he got home.Hi dad kicked his a$$ for it also.

Second time I was resturant night manager in Studio City CA.I was training a new waitress when I hear glass breaking.I turn around a mexican guy is throwing dishes over the counter at one of my cooks. He sees me walking towards him and tries to pull a revolver from his belt.I grab it first, along with his belt and pants, with my right hand and start punching with my left.I kept punching and he kept going back all the way out the front door we fell.He lands on his back with me on top.I get his gun out just as his buddy who was waiting in the car runs up,I still have it.

Just once so far, and I hope it's the last time....

An older lady (I'd guess 70's +) drew down on me at the local mall in broad daylight. I was walking out to my car after spending way too much in Sears, and she was about 40 feet in front of me. Suddenly she spun around with a snubnose revolver in her hands, yelled "I am in fear for my life, get back or I'll blast ya!" I looked around for the threat, found the lot empty except for the two of us and realized she meant me, then froze. She yelled at me (quite a good distance apart, mind) "Why are you following me?!" I pointed to the little red sportscar parked beside the older-model Cadillac she'd been walking towards, identified it as mine, and told her I'd be happy to grab some curb and sit motionless while she got into her car and went on her way. She decided it was a good deal, so I sat and waited. She put the gun into her bag, got into the car and slooowly drove off.

I reported it later, and the officer on duty groaned as soon as I described the situation.. apparently this lady is well-known in the department for similar misunderstandings.

I thought about diving for cover behind a car, but the way her hands were shaking while holding her roscoe, I was very much afraid she'd accidentally squeeze a round off if I made any sudden moves. Kharn, you're very correct.. the older generations do tend to get a bit odd once they assume residence in sunny Florida. I blame all the pink flamingos.

Once when I was walking my dog (who looks like a coyote) we were fired upon by someone with a semiautomatic firearm. We were about 200 yards away from someone who could see the dog but not me. Fortunately he was not a good shot and the dog and I survived about 10 rounds. I hit the deck and the dog did a dance that was quite amazing to watch! I am glad he didn't come running to me!

Once when I was a 12 year old kid playing in my front yard.

About 10 years ago I didn't have one pointed at me specifically. I worked in a dept store and a guy came in to confront a clerk who had turned him in for shoplifting. A gun was produced and this clerk and the security guard on duty (the others were out sick that day, with the exception of a 70yo woman who ran as fast as the rest of the employees and customers) found their attention pretty much taken up by the guy with the gun. I had to stick around to watch the guy's three boyz who were watching intently and had their hands in interesting places. No one other than the security guard realized I was there though.

Yep.

But I never thought any of them were going to fire, and they didn't.

Funniest was when a reserve Sheriff's deputy was trying to intimidate me because I'd fired his slob buddy. While he was waving his .357 around, I asked to see it while I picked up the phone and dialed the Sheriff. He quickly departed, but not dearly....

Yes. Got held up on the El tracks in Old Town Chicago by 3 kids (<12 y-o) one of whom had a cheap pistol. They got me HS ring and another ring I bought in Patzcuaro Mexico, and my cash. Rat bastards.

My goodness, all kinds of too-exciting stories here. More than I expected, actually.

I had two experiences. One was driving home from work on the highway, heard these "firecrackers" going off followed by weird "whizzing" noises real close and one slam sound. When I stopped to check, there was a bullet hole in the rear door of my car. I never repaired it, but I did take a different route home for a year or so. The other incident was a stupid high school thing where a guy took his dad's .45 out to show off and it fired. We traced the trajectory and it missed my head by about 10", and then seriously messed up his mom's china cabinet.
