In the latest issue of Guns magazine (March 2005), p. 44, there is a photo of actual military-issue Mosin-Nagant stripper clips (not the tool clips some U.S. vendors are passing off as Mosin clips, that don't even fit the rifle's clip guide). The real ones look to be made of spring steel with retaining ears at each end, and a boxlike cross section with an expanded lower portion to fit the cartridges' rims.

My question is, does anyone sell these now (either milsurp or new manufacture)? I'd pay good money for a couple of these...

real strippers

When I get home tonight, I will post a picture. The real ones have an Ishvesk stamp on them (an arrow in a triangle). They work great. I got most of mine at gunshows and in cases of Russian ammo.
I have also got some of the cheap ones that are only good for holding 5 rounds of ammo. They strip ammo off of them poorly.

can't be any worse than the 1 piece brass strippers that come with turk 8mm :neener:

i have about 20 real mosin clips. Most of them are the brass chinesse clips, but i have a few steel russian clips also. All of them work great.
