I'm selling this old Stratocaster of mine and someone offered me a GP100 for it.

I wonder how common this is. After all, it's all bartering.

EDIT: I didn't accept the offer BTW. I'm not really in the market for a GP100 at this time.

I traded a MicroMark mini-lathe (7x14) for a really nice S&W 586.

Had to save up another paycheck, but I did upgrade the lathe after all, and still have that Smith.

Traded a worn out Heritage Rough Rider 22lr for a decent 5gal air compressor.

Some time back I traded some antique fishing lures to a collector for a weapon I`d been wanting for a long time. We both made out~

I traded a old 40 horse Evirude for a 30-30, then a few years later traded that for a 63 Plymouth with push button shift.

Not far off but I traded a .22Mag for a Bushnell Scope. Didn't like the mag and the scope was brand new.

Traded a CVA Hawken rifle for 3 live traps. I paid $149 for the Hawken, used it for 3 years and traded it for $150 worth of very nice traps.

Traded a pair of Weld Draglite wheels for Mustangs for an old Winchester .22 one time.

I traded a cosmetically challenged Porsche 914 for $500 and a Luger.

I am pretty sure I came out ahead.

I loved that car but it was costing me thousands a year to keep it running. Last I heard 'Sparky' had a new home in Louisiana.
