I didn't even so much as touch an AR until I built my psa in early May. I have about 600 rounds down the tube so far and sometimes for faster just to improve target aqusition. I fired at two different steel plates at 100 meters switching between the two.
Firing faster does tend to open up the groups some. Hopefully practice will tighten the up.
With my bolt auctions I shoot slower making each shot count.
That's probably why I don't own an AR. I got my share of semi-auto centerfire shooting when my brother had an M1 Carbine and about 3,000 rounds of ammo when I was about 13. It was lots of fun shooting cans at around 100 yards in the gravel pits and I loved that rifle. I like accuracy these days, but have a Ruger 10-22 when I want to shoot small steel silhouettes offhand at 50 yards. That's cheap fun!
I've never had the desire to own/shoot an AR and never even tried one. Hefting a couple of them, they don't seem to feel good to me. To each his own.
